Tech Giants Invest in AI to Revolutionize Healthcare Industry

The jajar legowo planting technique is proven to increase agricultural productivity in Simalungun District. This automatically increases the Planting Index (IP) as targeted by IPDMIP activities.

Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo said that agricultural productivity is the main factor that continues to be prioritized in the framework of providing food security.

“This is in line with the national agricultural development goals of providing food for all people, improving farmers' welfare and boosting exports,” he said as quoted from a press release received on Monday (9/5/2022).

Head of the Agricultural Extension and Human Resources Development Agency (BPPSDMP) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Dedi Nursyamsi, added that one of the important factors in increasing agricultural productivity is the agricultural human resources.

There were 30 participants, 21 male participants and 9 female participants, who were held on Thursday (5/5/2022), accompanied by DPIU Simalungun District Kadar Situmorang and field extension workers.

In the activity, participants received the jajar legowo technique with a 2:1 planting system. The jajar legowo planting system is an application of the planting system that must be implemented in IPDMIP activities.

The Field School, which is held on one 0.1 hectare land, is a place for farmers to learn from the start of land cultivation to the harvest period. In addition to learning planting techniques, farmers will also be taught how to make compost and vegetable pesticides.

The high interest of farmers in participating in the Field School activities is proof that farmers in Simalungun Regency really need new technology to increase the productivity of their agricultural products. With high enthusiasm and work spirit, it is expected that the target or achievement of IPDMIP activities will be maximized in Simalungun Regency with the target of increasing production and productivity will be achieved.
